James Ramos was born and raised here in the Inland Empire-- and throughout his entire career, he has worked tirelessly to improve our community. He is a community leader and a champion for working families. Now, he's ready to fight for us as our Assemblymember.

Ramos has served as Supervisor of San Bernardino County since 2012, where he balanced a $5 billion budget. In 2015, his colleagues unanimously elected him to serve as Board Chairman, making him the first Native American to be elected as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. Ramos has paved the way for Native American leadership in his community and has demonstrated a commitment to preserving California's Native American culture.  In 2011, he was appointed to the State Board of Education by Governor Jerry Brown.

Ramos has experience working for both Republican and Democratic governors and he has the skills to champion bipartisan initiatives in the State Assembly. He will fight to:

  • Invest in our public schools

  • Create jobs and support small businesses

  • Support law enforcement to protect our families

Ramos knows the issues we face here in the Inland Empire better than anyone -- and he knows how to deliver real change for us.
